Dabo Retreat Center is a meaningful place where the first 10-day course in Korea was held in 2001.

Located at the foot of Songnisan Mountain in Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do, it reopened in 2024 as a non-center course site and is currently hosting 3-day and 10-day courses.

Course Info

Due to the limitations of the retreat center facilities, courses at this site are currently offered for women only. Men are welcome to serve as volunteers.

What to Bring

Accommodation is shared, with 8–9 people staying in one large room.

Please consider bringing the following:

• A small one-person pop-up tent or mosquito net (the center has about 10 available).
• 10 days' worth of clothes and underwear (laundry may be limited due to water shortages).
• A blanket (early morning meditation can be cold because of the large temperature difference between day and night).
• Personal toiletries, as daily showers may not be available depending on the water supply.

Before You Attend

1. The program begins at 6:00 PM on the first day. Please arrive before 5:30 PM to allow enough time for check-in.
2. Upon arrival, you will complete the registration process and be assigned your accommodation.
3. During the course, all participants are expected to follow the program schedule and center guidelines. The use of mobile phones and other electronic devices is restricted throughout the retreat.
